Help please! Totally new to investing. How does one decide what stocks to buy? Is there a good option for beginners? Apparently the market is down? What is a good Deloitte approved platform to use?

Can't comment on a Deloitte approved platform, but start with an S&P 500 index.

Just answered this question on another thread about what ETFs to invest in - have a look.

In general don’t buy stocks, buy indexes and hold for a long time (5+ years)

I use a brokerage account at Schwab for my post-tax, non-retirement investments, but vanguard and fidelity are also good.

Before which month the candidate should join if he needs to be part of appraisal cycle in 2023

So just had my first Amazon interview interaction the other day and its BS. I got invited to take part in the interview process by first answering a bunch of situational/case study like problems and then had to complete this long work style assessment after which they requested a call/interview only to find out the comp for the role is way below my target. Why would you make people waste so much time on your stupid assessments before asking expected salary range?!

Majority of my department has been informed we will need to look for other positions internally due to our jobs being outsourced. The timeframe for the full transition of all work to the vendors is approximately 6 months. This is the second time in 14 months I have had to look for another position due to outsourcing of work. Since I can only work remotely for my company due to location, is it best to resign or to hold out in hopes for a transition to another department?
