Help! Where do you find photos to use for comping (for presentations only)? Anything I search on Google is slapped with watermarks.

Unsplash. But see if your agency has a comp license. We pull non-watermarked images directly from Shutterstock because our license agreement allows internal comp usage

Your agency should have a login for sites like Getty, Stocksy and Shutterstock. I would ask for that and then you can download free comps

500px - has a watermark sometimes, but you can always right click, inspect/view page source and find the hi-res image file itself for download.

This sounds stupid, but it always helps me. There’s no such thing as a perfect image for a comp, I usually have to piecemeal many images in to get the idea across. When I was a junior I would spend hours looking for the perfect image. Now I find stuff I can make work with other images.

I’ve had pretty good luck finding solid swipe on Bēhance and Pinterest surprisingly enough. Although it’s kind of hit or miss if you need high res images.

I use Nappy and The Gender Sepctrum Coalition for free stock photos. Or if its only for comps I'll go to a site like Bernstein and Andriulli and find professional photographers work. Their work is better than stock photos and you might get to work with that photographer - WIN WIN.

If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
