Was hoping to get a hand or advice. I had submitted an application the Travelers for a marketing position in early November, resume shows received but nothing else. Is there someone that works there that could direct me to a HR email or contact person? Have had nothing but a positive experience working with Travelers in my last two roles as an agent and then an underwriter would love to have to the opportunity to work directly with Travelers. I hope all of you are doing well! I am new to Fishbowl and new to the Healthcare field. I very recently graduated with a B.A. in Human Resource Management and currently working as a Sourcing Specialist for TidalHealth - a large healthcare group in my area.

Has anyone wanted to voice out at their company, colleagues, or civ friends whining about covid how the remote work is hard. They work and live in their home and now they need a therapist. Has anyone compared how military do that non stop? Service members work and live at the same place. They can’t even grocery shop which was the highlight of most during Covid. Shouldn’t people show more appreciation for the military now that they have lived a small part of our lives?

After 6 weeks off work, I went back,today, to a company I used to work with years ago, today. Good job with Work/life balance.Make a consistent 100k+. I took the job because the industry I was coming from is very seasonal and hiring won't be in demand until spring next year. Later this afternoon, one of the companies I interviewed with called me back for 3rd interview. This job is riskier but 150k plus, which what I was used too. I ll probably get the job. Should i take it?

My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.
What is this? This is normal?
The first time I ignored that, but now it has become a pattern and is bothering me now. I am south-American working in the UK.
My company has ERGs and one of them is pretty large and includes a lot of demographics. Within it, people are starting to kind of form their own subgroups (like based on office location or country-specific ethnicity). Does anyone have any thoughts around what would be appropriate for DEI practitioners to be aware of when serving these populations?
Does anyone have experience with starting a Business/Employee Resource Group? I would really like to start one for Middle Eastern and North Africans as my company does not have one. There are many discussions that could benefit others and opportunities for intersectionality here. TIA!
Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Every single suggestion I've made has been shut down and I've been ghosted for several meetings with the CEO. What should I do? Just leave?

How do you deal with your “mentor” being threatened by your performance and gatekeeping information from you? Then turning around and giving you shit for not knowing things… but they don’t tell you anything and there is no way for you to know. My learning and development is being hindered and I’ve felt this for a long time, but coworker just confirmed this is the case. Now that I know I’m not “crazy” for thinking this, how should I approach this?

Working on introducing ERGs at a company- how did your company decide the first ERGs to start with? How did they communicate the start of ERGs and roll out the structure?
I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?
