Here's a quick tip
💡 Use Google’s XYZ formula: "Accomplished [X] as measured by [Y], by doing [Z]."

💡 Example: Instead of saying "worked with team members on project", say "Collaborated with 5+ analysts on go-to-market strategy by researching 20+ cities across the United States, resulting in an ARR of $1M."

💡 Last but not least, keep it concise. One or two pages max

Lol in your example, if we were to follow the ‘formula’ wouldn’t it be: “Drove $1m in ARR by collaborating with 5+ analysts on go-to-market strategy and researching 20+ cities across the United States”

I’m pretty sure you didn’t even follow your own advice here

helpful

I’m just laughing at OP providing advice (which is good advice) and then failing to use it in their example. Seems like it would have been really simple for someone in recruiting

Oh I really like this, very helpful for all stages of our career - thank you very much for sharing!

I see you also follow our Ex-meta friend.

That is some good use of Google! Thanks for this tip. Students and professionals alike can use this to their advantage

Lovely tip. Always amazed with how other people use the internet effectively. This is one of the ways.

Hmm. Interesting! Thanks for sharing this here, OP!

I have a good belief to believe I, and others of my kind are being systemically discriminated against at work. There was a particular incident recently that affected me. I am the in house employment counsel for the company - and now feel like I am in a weird position. Can I file an EEO complaint against my client, or do they just get to do whatever they want to me? Obviously outside counsel would need to be hired, and a wall put up. Looking for info thanks.

I was the one who posted about my husband giving me a few months to train my dogs before we had to discuss rehoming at least one. Specifically, one of them growled at home a lot. And then I've posted recently about the same dog having jaw surgery.

Well, after the jaw incident, my husband was the one who had to go pick her up from the hospital and transport her to the surgeon, then back home. Since then, she's been by his side obeying commands, and not growling.

And she looks like Hannibal...

Interested to hear any success stories about M&A attorneys at middle market firms (firm is 600+ but is regional and only does middle market transactions) and from an unranked law school finding an M&A in house role. I want to go in house but can’t fathom doing commercial transactions for the rest of my career but M&A in house gigs for obvious reasons tend to be at Fortune 500 companies that almost always require top credentials. Should I give up? Is my resume just going to the shredder?
