I’m hoping that during this pandemic districts become more aware of what’s a necessity in education and well.... what’s just a “want”. After teaching for many years districts have created no necessary jobs when $$ was good... w/o really thinking if the funds would always be there. Districts shouldn’t be creating program specialist jobs .... that’s what their calling them and people who have that title are also receiving regular teacher pay as well and are currently teachers.

What other profession besides education are you suppose to develop relationships with 150 students a day? These are to be meaningful student relationships where you know their likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses so you can help them learn your content as well as develop as an individual. Also, during each day you interact with colleagues and parents. Just curious if there is a similar career with that level of interaction with others.
