Here’s my view: continue to go out if you are well. Don’t go out if you’re elderly. Don’t visit the elderly if possible. There are flexible solutions. Many businesses need us to continue our routines

Again social distancing is for the healthy and not! You won’t even know if you are a carrier. Also people don’t have diabetes or lung diseases tattooed on their foreheads. So please don’t listen to OP and follow the guidelines on the CDC website.

You can help businesses without putting people in danger. That’s not happening by encouraging “healthy” people to go out.

It’s a fine line. Supporting the small and local businesses IS important. So is not carrying the disease home to my wife, who is not elderly but does have pre-existing conditions that put her in the at-risk population. It’s more than avoiding old people, and the idea of slowing the rate of infection is valid (just because you’re lower risk of death doesn’t mean you’re avoiding the hospital with this). HOWEVER, it’s not martial law and we can and should support the people who can’t work from home, as you say.

Please do not go out as normal. The US is two weeks behind Italy in terms of case numbers. Read about the "Milan does not stop" campaign and how that exacerbated Italy's crisis.

Take food home from local small businesses. Order drive thru and sanitize/wash hands, don’t breathe on people. Keep buying things from small shops that will need your help to keep going - service places that have perishables or a business model reliant on continued customers. That’s my thought - just be extremely careful. I’m still trying to keep some of my economic activity going, and we’re buying more takeout as a result. But we’re super careful when doing such. I’m not a doctor though

A1, public health is a collective action. We need as many people as possible to make smart public health decisions. This means you too.

You don't know if you're totally healthy. Need to be in quarantine for a week or two to rule out being asymptotic.

Many people don’t work from home. This is becoming a problem of privilege (WFH professionals avoid cafes, restaurants, etc at the expense of lower-income folks)

Exactly why people who DO have the option of working from Home sHoULD work from home and protect those that cannot - doctors, nurses, policemen.
