Deloitte
Hi everyone, I just had a first round interview for Deloitte M&A Valuation Analyst role based in Australia. I feel like I went pretty well, they were pretty keen at my Analytics background ( DA/Modelling) & my interest in finance (preparing CFA L1 atm)
However I haven’t heard back anything after two days(e.g. book my time for round 2 interview)…I know there is supposed to two more round of interviews.
Just wondering if this is the normal waiting time or I’m not the person they looking?

How’s Hudson Rouge in NY these days?
Classes at Adhouse or SVA.
Tom Christmann at adhouse is fantastic and classes are like $600 each I think? Heard great things about SVA's continuing education classes.
Also required reading would be "Hey Whipple, Squeeze This" and I'd also check out "The Advertising Concept Book"
Learn basics of the design programs on YouTube, LinkedIn Learning, or Udemy. I think still basics of photoshop, illustrator, and premier pro and after effects are key, but I see a lot of the designors and ADs I work with also use procreate and figma a ton now too!
Good luck!
Thank you 🙏🏻
I’d say really focus on learning the ins and outs of Photoshop / Illustrator. There’s endless things you can do and most of the bulk of the work can be accomplished between those two. If you can learn some motion design in After Effects that’s also a big bonus these days
Being an AD self taught is really hard. I know cause I tried it and failed. Being A CW self taught is easier. People will tell you to reach to CDs, but I’ve found that they don’t have time to teach you fundemtals. They will tell you to reach out to other student CWs for help, but my experience has taught me that it’s hard to find someone reliable to help you out. I strongly encourage your friend to save up money for portfolio school. Cause, the self taught route will take some years.
