So for me I capture everything in one note and then clean up the notes after to distill my thoughts. I also use Vyvanse and it helps me focus when distilling notes. I try to keep a clear head and rely mainly on notes and a to do list to track action items, remember key points, and consolidate my thoughts
I’ve found that I’m able to keep up a lot better with handwritten notes. However my handwriting is trash so sometimes that gets tricky lol
I like handwritten for the same reasons as I recall it better. However, I'm never able to locate it in my diary the next time I need. OneNote has the advantage as I can keyword search.
I got better at taking notes when I stopped thinking I need to capture EVERY single word. I now only listen for the key points and action items on topics. Notes are much more meaningful that way.
When I actually need to focus on new information, written notes is the way to go. Electronics can be a blackhole in a meeting especially if you still have tabs open and outlook up, etc.
Digital pens like the Livescribe have helped in the past before. But remember they usually upload to a cloud service and this require approval if you’re in a sector that requires confidentiality.
I use both handwritten notes and OneNote. However, I have a hard time organizing OneNote but it is more reliable space to save information for longer time. For some reason I can find my hand written notes more easily than OneNote.
Agreed, Same challenges with organizing OneNote. I have back to back meetings and when I come back a few hours later, I don't recognize them. Then I need to listen to the recordings, which is time consuming.
Vyvanse and I bought the Mont Blanc electronic notebook
What’s that? Sounds like a boujee version of rocketbook
Type notes and actively listen. Hard but it’s the best way. Cleanup notes after.
I haven’t found a great solution for this. I have a hard time keeping it consistent with either all hand written or all in onenote. Honestly sometimes I feel like my ADHD controls my moods too. If I’m on Ritalin, I’m probably using onenote, but even then it’s always organized differently.
This probably doesn’t help, but at the very least, I can relate.
I can’t really listen and take notes at the same time. I find it’s better for me to just basically dictate the meeting in my notes in detail via OneNote since I can type fast and my handwriting is slow. Then I clean up and read after to make sure I understand what was discussed during the meeting
