Hey all, I seriously can’t find any Philadelphia-based Big 4 management consultant job openings other than a few senior manager or higher positions. Otherwise, they are all tax audit or tech consulting. Are the analyst/associate/senior management consultant roles titled differently? FYI, I had trouble with this pre-covid. Thank you

-When I interviewed with McKinsey, my final interviews were in North Jersey. -EYP final interviews were in Boston. -BCG has a larger office right above Suburban Station. For Big4 Deloitte interviews lot of people at 1700 Market. EY, PWC and Accenture are in Commerce Square and interview there frequently. Did they just pause given Covid? Main clients tend to be life sciences, healthcare and then Comcast, FMC and a few others who have also likely paused many projects that aren’t tech or compliance driven.

I feel like for the most part those roles are going to be filled through the university recruiting pipeline tbh - unless you have specific in demand skills

This is correct, analysts are through undergrad and Senior would come from the MBA recruiting pipelines. That’s not to say there aren’t other experienced hires that come in from elsewhere but typically the postings that are there are applicable to most cities with an office

Interviewed for a Production Support Engineer role two days ago - went OK, was able to answer some questions and others that I couldn’t. The role was not posted yet on their site or LinkedIn at the time of me interviewing. Feedback from Manager was that I presented myself well and they would have to discuss as a team if they had the time to get me up to speed as there was a learning curve. Noticed yesterday morning the the role had been newly posted on LinkedIn (day after interview).

I am at a point in my job search (2+ years, laid off 5 months before COVID) where I’m really starting to think the career I have chosen doesn’t want me back. I worked in HR previously, and I have no idea where or how to start figuring out a new career path. I’m stable money-wise for now. But with the student loan repayments coming active again soon, the money situation will get tighter.Any advice on changing careers after 40? Much appreciated!

Hi 🐠! Class of 2017 here and found out yesterday that I’m being held back a year (as a 3rd year instead of 4th). I feel totally blindsided / actually cried on the Zoom. I’ve reached out to partner-mentor in other groups and they explained that this isn’t a demotion but an opportunity to have more time to acquire mid-level skills before being thrust into that role & failing. I GET that but I feel this is something that should have been messaged BEFORE the review. Such an erosion of trust. Advice?

I’ve been on H1B October 2019, expiring in 2022. I’m kind of clueless as to what happens next. Does my firm start the green card process soon because it’s been almost 2 years (ive heard/read you need to work 2 years before they do that at big 4). What does that entail and how long until the green card comes out after that? And when they renew my H1B for another 3 years is that a guarantee extension and not a lottery like the first one?

Tax associate here who is masochistic and thoroughly enjoys writing long-form opinions, writing memos, doing legal analysis and research, but hates deal work and churning out documents. Where is the best place for me? I assume DC boutique or national Big 4 would make sense. What about sophisticated T&E, in-house, other ideas, etc.?

30F, Xtian, single. Would love to organize a small group meetup (outdoor and masked, or if we sit far enough from eachother, can remove masks to snack) in Central Park as the weather gets nicer. Not a date and no pressure, we can just enjoy seeing other people and a coffee. I can bring said coffee and maybe snacks. $5 Venmo contribution optional. I test for COVID quite regularly. Please respond with age and gender so we can guage interest. 😊 Open to all! Mentioned Xtian bc I like Xtian men! 😊
