Hey all! I want to learn swimming. Assuming it will only happen in the post covid era. Has anyone else had experience learning swimming in the city as an adult?

I did this last year. There are several adult swimming schools in NYC. I took classes with Swim Easy. They are really good, though the pool was a little small and sometimes got really crowded since 2 schools were using it at the same time. Lessons cost ~$50 / session. I was able to go from not being able to even float to being able to swim for quite some distance within just 3 lessons. Highly recommended!

Does anyone else get post pandemic “get back to normal” anxiety?? I want everyone to be healthy and happy and the suffering over Covid to end. But I can’t go back to “normal” life. I can’t go back to the life of an overflowing calendar being glorified. I feel like I’m sinking deep into an introvert lifestyle, which is not the bubbly, busy, and extroverted person people know me to be. But I’m scared of what the post pandemic social expectations will be and not being able to keep up.

A few months ago I completed final rounds for a product role I was very interested in. Never heard back from them. Took a new position that is conducive to WFH/remote. I am thinking of reaching out to the team again because I would be interested to work with them post-covid. However I don’t respect that they didn’t give me a final answer after providing work product, meeting with teams—even to let me know they had chosen another candidate or weren’t moving forward with hiring.

I got an offer from IBM gurgaon, but the manager said the project will be assigned later when you join. What shall i conclude from this that they are hiring to manage resource pool?
If yes then what are the chances i will get assigned to a project.

Please provide your inputs.

P.S. : I have heard that they have frequent layoffs as well.
