Feeling at a stand still. I was doing assistant work before my recruiting coordinator gig but now feel stagnant. Work for a start up, and although i'm expected to always go outside of my role, it's coming up on a year and there's no promotion in sight. Was told it takes 1.5-2 years to grow out of the recruiting coordinator function. I don't know how much more scheduling I can handle, it's like a soul sucking responsibility after a while. Any advice on how to move out of the RC role?

Have you ever applied to another job internally (with your manager in the loop), only to find that the hiring manager hired someone else ? Did your relationship with your manager take a hit due to your interest in another team ? Did you have to do anything differently to prove your commitment to your current team afterwards ?

Hi everyone, I just finished my masters degree a few weeks ago, and I’m looking for a new role. I obtained a bachelors degree in 2011 however that school closed and did not share records with WV higher education comission, neither are they at student clearinghouse. The school was accredited, during my time then lost accreditation a year after. (Mountain State University). Can anyone recommend how to handle this with HR if they can’t verify one of my degrees? Contemplating leaving Big4 for BigTech, offered a non-tech role outside of BayArea that I think I’ll like. I love my current role (outside of the heavy demands that sometimes occur). My 5 year comp trajectory at B4 looks higher than it would be at BigTech given my level, but I’d get a good year1 bump. I assume there’s value in the better WLB. Any advice?
