Hey all! In my time as a Project Manager, I've navigated through tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and the occasional unpredictable hiccup. One thing I've learned is the importance of adaptability and clear communication. Whether it's a last-minute change or a sudden roadblock, staying resilient has been key. How about you? What experiences have defined your journey as a PM and what insights can you share that might benefit others?

When mistakes are made PM are the first group to be thrown under the bus. Make sure you send recaps of conversations / decisions and save them. Stand up for yourself. Your opinion is no less valid than any other team member's.

Feeling really lonely this holiday season and I think it's time for a change. I love my job but I'm realizing I devote too much time to it. I would really like to expand my social circle and potentially meet someone, but I don't really know where to start. Ideally my partner would also work in healthcare, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. Ladies what should I do?? I'm a 32 year old woman with no kids.

I am a Senior Technical Advisor who has been working in the oil field since 2013. I have a bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering Technology and would like to transition into Tech with a good starting salary; preferably at least $150,000. I’m leaning towards getting my PMP and searching for a project management position. I’d like some suggestions for going this route or any other positions that may be a good fit for me based on my resume. Any experienced input would be greatly appreciated!

Got offer from BCG for ECT. Read numerous comments about ECT being not attractive compared to Generalist track. Also heard challenges about billability/utilization. Any views/ guidance appreciated!
I am not super keen to become a partner (selling) and main reason to join will be working with different clients, smart talented people and a good brand. End goal (at the moment atleast) is to stay for few years and return to the industry. 15 YOE

If an agency is a family (as they say), it would be an emotionally distant parent who would gaslight you and make you feel bad about yourself.

How the hell do I get out of this industry and still make a living? Unlike most people I’ve met in this space, I don’t come from a rich family that can support me if I decide to pursue something more soulfully fulfilling but less fulfilling financially.

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I am getting ready for a job interview, and need to create a media plan. I was hoping someone can help me with the next task: basically, I need to create inventory recommendation based on past performance. What I am very confused about is that they gave me Booked Impressions (=4M), but in the task it says I should assume there is unlimited inventory. Am I supposed to use this 4M only to calculate spend, ROAS, etc., but can actually have unlimited allocated impressions? Thank you!

Data strategy question:

My Fintech organization has 2 banking products, both of which have similar features, but one caters to smaller banks and credit unions while the other focuses on the top 100 banks in the US. The product and engineering teams for both these products operate independently and rarely use any common technology vendors (except AWS, our common infra partner).

Does it make sense to have a common data strategy and a single data lake across this products? What are the benefits?

I’ve noticed I have a harder time working on projects that aren’t that well defined and more vague. Mainly projects working with larger companies (think Nike, etc.) where say, you’re working on a site redesign, and focusing on certain features but a million people from the client side need to weigh in and chat through every little detail. I’m much better with straight forward work. Full site redesigns, branding, experiential executions. Anyone else feel this way? I just hate the vagueness.
