Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?
Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback? I'm nervous - should I be? :(
Hiring! Link below prefer Chicago area candidates. I will not be addressing comp. If your interested and have quality experience with Finance/JIRA/Portfolio Management/Reporting (Tableau) please apply.
What are some must skills to develop while working in PMO and Ops Transformation to help with transitioning to a Program Manager role at FAANG?
Anyone here on the tech side of PwC? Someone from PwC reached out to see if I'm interested in a QA Manager role. How good is the quality engineering practice in PwC? Also what's the range like for QA Managers?
Any tips for someone who discounts good feedback but heavily focuses on the opportunities to improve? So much that I have a fear of getting fired despite receiving overall good feedback. I started a new job earlier this year. The function of the role and industry is new to me. My manager told me he generally has higher expectations than the rest of the organization. Originally, I viewed this as a great learning opportunity but can't help to think I'm not cut out for this and fear the worst.
Hey fishes, could you please tell me how many interview rounds are there in PwC SDC for a Manager position? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
May be a dumb question and probably different firm to firm but if a position calls for 2YOE but I only have 1.8YOE will that automatically disqualify me?
Anyone ever worked for Randstad? I have an interview tomorrow for an account manager position for the IT market. Curious to hear all thoughts.
Looking to find a nurse consultant position. Any suggestions of head hunters or agencies appreciated.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Any recommended way to get salary bands for a role / setting salary expectations when a recruiter reaches out to you? Continued...
Considering looking for a new sales management role. I’ve only had “promote from within” sales manager roles where I started as an IC and continue to manage my book while selling. I’d like to make a switch and start in a management only role. Any recommendations on companies? I have 6 years of top producing IC sales experience and a little over 4 years of management experience.
Are there any openings in forensic investigation profile for a Deputy Manager / Senior Associate?
I’m not currently looking for a change (I left for industry in 2020 and really like my job). When recruiters message me on LinkedIn I reply to them because you never know when I’ll be open in the future and I don’t want to burn bridges. This one recruiter messaged me about 6 weeks ago for an assistant controller position and I replied back saying I’m currently happy with my job and am a VP of Accounting so wouldn’t be interested in an assistant controller role. He has reached out every 2 weeks
Steptoe is currently hiring for a business development manager (focused on IP) and business development coordinator. Let me know if you’re interested in any of those positions and i can direct you to the right person. It is also available under the “careers” section on the website.

Any firms actively hiring for any of the following industries: Energy/utilities PMO Construction Any leads would be appreciated!
need advice. I have been working in an interim role as a portfolio manager. I was promised that the role would be mine. However, after doing the job for 2 months, I have been advised that we might not get the funding for the role and I might not get the raise and the title but my responsibilities will be the same. Its a political minefield. How should I back out elegantly that I need to be compensated fairly and competitively from this mess without burning any bridges
2 months in and already hate my life. Expectations not equal to reality. Getting told one thing, client getting told another. Might leave.

Anyone looking for a freelance graphic designer or illustrator? Just got laid off, and could use something to hold me over.
If you get some development points and a partially at level in your third year, are you screwed for promotion?
Thinking about buying a single family home for ~600k in the next year or so OR pushing it out an additional year to get a multi family for ~1m. Thoughts? Current HHI ~175k, $40k student loan debt ($200 monthly) no other debts (credit card/car etc) Project HHI for option two ~210k. Let’s assume I can save 75k for DP for option 1 and 150k for option 2.
How is Slalom to work with? Interviewing with them next week. Is it on par with EY, KPMG ( in terms of quality of the people and culture)?
Food for thought: With so many SMs and PPMDs stuck at home with kids and no help and with so many Staff, Seniors, Consultants, etc on the bench... (cont)

My principal approached me in the car pick up line on Friday to inform me that I’ve taken to many days off & school has just started. I took 1day off when my daughter tested positive for Covid, I had an doctor’s appt that had been scheduled 6 months ago to see the hematologist. Being that I’m anemic, current labs showed I need to have 2 iron infusions. I put in for 2 more days off to have that done. He told me in the future to wait until a work day! We done have any until December!!
Best practices on how to turn down a project without burning bridges? Had several project meetings with SMs trying to staff me (currently on bench), all long term so can’t do multiple. How do i break the news to the other Seniors while leaving the door open for future ops (enjoyed all the conversations)?
New to this. Is it typical for a firm to ask a staff to do the work of a senior for a year to show that they are ready for a promotion?
Speaking of boutique firms. What's the name of the trendy millennial one with crazy health benefits that was ranked #1 recently for fun and WLB? I think it was in PA and did primarily healthcare...
Curious to hear everyone’s strategy for giving back, just crossed 100k net worth and about to be promoted to senior associate ~100-105k total comp. I currently donate sporadically to organizations in my community but want to hear other peoples practices/ideas
Anyone here concerned about long term effects of COVID vaccine? Would a company wide mandate make employers liable in the future?
Anyone have info on MBB/Strategy& supply chain consulting? Group size, actively hiring, common backgrounds (MBA/certifications required/helpful?), project types, & interview prep tips? Looking to enter as an experienced hire. Currently a procurement financial analyst and just passed my CSCP certification. Ex-big4. Thanks!
Accenture hired me for a role that I don’t think I’m qualified for? Looking at the job req page, I only tick 1-2 of the bullets (out of 10). Important to note that I never lied or padded my experience, and have been genuine and honest throughout the interview process. I start next month. Is this imposter syndrome or an actual concern?
Looking for some insight on a Business Value Services Consultant role at Salesforce. I have 5 YOE doing SAP implementations for multiple clients at B4 and am very well versed in supply chain processes/integrations. Anybody know what the role is like or what the pay might look like?
