Hey all, not to be that person, but I very much struggled and still have my bouts with depression. Going gluten free (strict for months to see improvement) helped me an insane amount with getting rid of my depression and lifting the fog. I still have anxiety but cutting out coffee has helped. Just passing along my experience in case it might help someone.

Awesome for you! I gave up caffeine about 18 months ago. Within the last couple months, I will have a cup of leaded coffee 1x per week. Definitely feel less anxious without caffeine.

I gave up coffee 4 months ago and also feel better. What are some suggestions for alternative drinks?

I drink maté tea🧉 (it has caffeine but doesn’t give crash or anxiety like coffee does, not addictive). I also like Pero. It’s a barely beverage that looks like coffee, caffeine free and delicious

How did u get through that transition period of being unbelievably tired without coffee

This may not be realistic, but sleeping 9 hours and drinking TONS of water. Also exercising helps.

Coffee definitely healed my anxiety. I might try gluten free! Thanks!

Sharing my story: I carry an abnormal gene in which me and my wife's first child was affected. We decided with our second child to use IVF. We started our journey in January 2021 and my wife went through 4 IVF cycles using my sperm in a 9 month span (her choice). We decided after the 4th round failed to go a different route and use sperm donation to rid us of the gene. During 2022, she went through 4 rounds of IUI and finally got one that stuck. She is now 14 weeks pregnant and due in April 😊

I think my partner is making my eating disorder worse.
