Hey all! Recently I got a message from a recruiter from Morgan Stanley to apply to some roles. For those who work there, how do you like the culture of Morgan Stanley? Do you feel there are a lot of growth opportunities?

In a few years I am hoping to start a family and would like to stay at an organization for at least a couple of years. So I’d also like any input/comments on the benefits Morgan Stanley offers.

Need advice. We have a member on our team that doesn’t follow process, ignores asks, and undermines those above. They kinda go off and do their own thing, implement their own way of doing things. They are deeply embedded in the culture and are well liked by leadership. The dept head continues to praise them on calls, even when they ignore asks, push back, do not follow process. Do I say something? Do I let live? I’m new to the team and find this dynamic really uncomfortable.

I'm looking at a job offer I recently received, and it turns out both my current firm and potential new firm offer mega-backdoor Roths (MBRs)

I know that *employee* contribution space to 401ks (the $19.5k annual limit) is shared across employers.

Does anyone know if the *employer* match + after tax 401k/MBR space ($38.5k, the residual of the total $58k IRS limit minus the employee $19.5k) can be "double dipped"?
I.e. take advantage of the MBR both employers, put in close to 30kx2 = 60

There are a lot of people smarter than me on here, so looking for some advice. I have a spouse and two small kids. I've always done a traditional PPO healthcare plan because the cost was 100% covered by work and I was too lazy to switch. Because my wife had her own HDHP plan, we had HSA access. She's not working right now (but will be going back eventually). I'm considering doing HDHP but wondering if anyone with small kids has regretted that? (cont. in comments)

I am coach for someone in the USDC. I was talking about the pension and I was told that they only get the 401. I looked at our 401k plan and noticed the match is very poor. The match is .25. So basically if a practitioner makes $100,000 and gives 6%, then D only puts in $1500 annually. This is horrible and if I was being honest then I would advise people to look to a company that cares for their future. I googled average matches and Deloitte is not even close to the average.

I keep getting emails about c-level ea roles and they try to entice me by saving hybrid role with great benefits and compensation, but won’t post the salary range in their job descriptions. I received an offer from a firm that has been persistently seeking me, although I wasn’t looking. Work arrangement, benes, & title are similar to my current position, but they are offering $16k more than my current salary. I did just negotiate my raise in July, from 11% to 20%. I am very content with my current employer, but hubby thinks I need to bring this to HR. Was previously working as an advisor growing a nice book and left to move 18hrs away to be close to family.
