I work for a singapore established MNC. My bosses are mostly (traditional) Singaporeans so things tend to be more hierarchical and heavily driven by processes. You either love it or hate it depending on your working style. WFH is not really encouraged since the managers like to see the warm bodies in office. Other than that, the bonus are good and colleagues rarely quit (no one gets fired even if you are bad) and it is a great place for retirement or just be part of the furniture. ✌️ work hours are usually at min. 8.30 to 6pm daily.
Worked in a singaporean mnc before and totally wouldn’t recommend it
Singapore is a broad term. I have had companies finishing work at 5pm, where manager chased you to go back home if you don’t; I have had late nights / midnights. I think it’s hard to judge just by a country. It depends on your industry/clients/type of work
Thanks for the insight! I think it’s a similar kind of answer here in the UK: probably varying depending on situation but maybe leaning towards valuing WLB
