Hey All, working with EY in 1MLP. Been asked to vacate from my place in Harrow by landlord. Looking for a 1 BHK. Not sure if it'll make sense to move nearer to central London (work is client facing, but I didn't need to travel on my current engagement). Not sure what are the travel requirements on the next gig.
Any suggestions around places to stay?

Ahh… i am in the same situation, landlord has given the notice to vacate lol. I will join Acn by the start of next year (probably earlier) and everyone i have talk to (both here and on Linkedin) said that we are 90-100% virtual. I am thinking of leaving central too at this point. Thoughts on Zone 2-3?

“We are fully remote”

Me : Awesome so no travel required at all?

“Well you need to come to the office 3 times a week and the other two you will be popping into potential customers on site”

Me: So not remote at all…?

“No we’re remote, you get two days traveling not in the office”

Hi, after doing project and program mangement for 6 years I joined EY GDS last year with high hopes, but soon I realised that nothing is done at EY GDS on the name of project management. It's just about charging as many hours as we can simply as any other resource. Not even basic project management in followed. Projects are undertaken and wrapped up somehow. So I am planning to move out and need help for referrals.

Question: I currently work as an inside sales account manager selling a wide portfolio of IT products. I’ve been recruited for a role that would be an outside sales role selling ONLY a software solution that Im able to sell at my current company (but usually don’t due to other options that we are compensated better off of.) The new role would have some overlap with current customers that I work closely with now (one being a VERY large client.) Would this violate a non-compete/solicitation?

This question might anger some, but not meant to be provoking. Does anyone else feel that half the jobs in tech (scrum master, project manager, product manager, etc.) are more hindering than helpful? I feel like productivity would sky rocket if we didn’t have 10+ hours a week added of admin work/agile ceremonies/status meetings, and you just let developers and analysts do their job. Why are we spending hours learning how to estimate story points (for example) rather than improving production?

Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?
