Should I leverage an external offer to have my current organization match? Currently, I am getting paid approx. 15% below the average salary of my band. External offer is approx. 30% more than what I make currently, but is less attractive due to its benefits. Manager is supportive but not too sure what string can be pulled. I love working at my company, but it sucks knowing how severely underpaid I am.

So how do you gauge work life balance during the interview stage? I have an interview tomorrow and no interest in burning the candle at both ends. I also don’t want to disqualify myself by asking directly.

My boss and another colleague both ALWAYS cc themselves on every email—it’s clearly set up as an auto rule (ie it’s not just on “important” or “CYA” type emails). Why would one want to do this? Is it to do with how Outlook doesn’t move/copy your reply emails when you file away emails? Wouldn’t “conversation mode” help with that problem? Genuinely trying to understand this

Fourth-year associate. I will soon be commuting to Midtown Manhattan to a firm that pays market. From a financial perspective, am I completely nuts to be driving in and parking? Between tolls and parking, it’s going to be close to $10K a year as opposed to the bus/train being between $2500-$3000 a year. Hi Accenture people, got offer today, asked HR about project, she mentioned it will be mapped on first day itself and will be connected with project manager.
