It's about LinkedIn (LI). I'm in non-marketing role, but am client/prospect facing. Less than 5ish Black folks in our startup of 300+. Presence in India. I lend my voice to promote my employer, but heaviest focus is on diversity, mental health & wellbeing. After my last post, our white VP said: "All [our CEO] is asking globally about everyone's activity on LI...by EOD please send #original post/#shared posts (last 3 months). Btw, mine was 36/45." 1. Wtf. Is this a thing? 2. Idea for response?
So...what do you do when you see that a former boss who you know got reprimanded at work for saying racist shit (he still got promoted to an even higher position after) post a black square on Instagram? Do you call him out?
I’m a business-savvy CM seeking a strategist role at a brand ready to fully embrace the chaos that is social media. I specialize in tricking people — tricking celebrities into retweeting, *continued*

So i primarily come from a tech background (did CS in undergrad and currently 2.5 YOE in digital transformations at B4). Gonna be starting b-school soon and found out that most associates go through case interviews that cover all topics, meaning i have to start learning other areas. I’ve never done case interviews before and have no clue where to get started 🙃...any tips for someone in my position? Helpful tips/resources? Thanks fam!
A former Manager reached out about an e-commerce manager role for a relatively young company doing $35M/year. The role manages inventory on the site (20 skus), CRO, and Analytics plus the e-tailers (Amazon). They launched a site redesign and CVR tanked, but from what I gather they have too much of a focus on Paid Social and upper-funnel tactics. They’re hiring for a Demand Gen Analyst/Manager from a different manager. So, the roles report into different people. Question below:
Heyy Fishers, I am looking for an opportunity in the Consulting Field and keeping an open mind as I am too keen to work on projects and solve problems. Can someone help me with interview questions for tax position at Salesforce? Do they ask tax technical questions or it’s just behavioral/ situational?Salesforce
I want to make the jump from BDO to Big 4. However, I think I want to go into a specialized type of tax, for example, international, M&A, R&D, Etc. For my long term goals, open to any line that gives the best exit strategies. Thank you in advance.
I see people asking here all the time for a referral. New to this. Is it much easier to get hired via internal referral? Does referring someone you've never met before not reflect poorly on you if that person isn't qualified? Internal recruiter/hr doesn't ask how you know the person or what you think of him/her?
How would you rate the following companies as exit options from MBB in Europe: Wayfair Zalando HelloFresh Not from the region so curious about the culture and general reputation of these three!

Does this move make sense? Now: C, will be promoted to SC next year Move to MBB after promotion as a post-MBA level role Move back to D as an M This is assuming I don't get promoted at MBB...
Interested in getting involved in more Startup opportunities. How do people find openings at early/mid stage startups? LinkedIn, or another source?
I haven’t interviewed for a position in 7 years. I have a phone screen tomorrow with the hiring manager for a Product Manager role at FAANG. I think I’m prepared, but still quite nervous 😱 worried my nerves will get to me
LA vs San Diego? Can someone tell me the pros and cons of each city? I want to move to the west coast in the next year or so and debating between the two cities. San Diego looks like a beautiful city but seems to lack diversity from what I heard. Some background on me: late 20s, I’m black & latina, single, I have a puppy, I’m from NY but currently live in Boston, vegan, pretty active, people person but also enjoy a good amount of time to myself. Thanks in advance!
Just interviewed with Google for an analyst role and the questions were pretty freaking tough.... Not feeling great. Any advice?
8 years in engineering and then project management (not software) and now a year as an Associate at McK. What are my options? I really don’t have a good frame of reference.
Is Director at PwC equivalent to SM at the other Big 4? If so, why are SM at PwC seemingly paid more than SM at the other Big 4?
Being offer 20% base raise by SAIC as solution but my coach whom I have excellent relationship with wants to know what they can do to keep me at Deloitte. Yet to give my 2 weeks notice, any suggestions?
One of the often overlooked hidden benefits of working a 14+ hour day is all the extra exercise you get wandering around the parking garage because you can’t remember where the f you parked.
Am I the only one who doesn’t care about promotion? I’m happy as long as I am not bored / have something to do everyday, and working with fun / nice people
How much do you keep in your checking acct?
Book recommendation: can anyone recommend a good leadership book for aspiring (not current) people managers? Perhaps on how to get to the leadership level, or how to lead effectively as an IC. Cheers!
I am writing a piece on sexism in the corporate workplace. Covering blatant (i.e. salary) and subtle (i.e. excluding women from golf outings) instances of sexism. Would love to hear relevant stories!
Has anyone interviewed with Google for a loan staff? What kind of questions should I expect? It’s a PMO role in Tax area. Unsure if I should expect out-of-the-box questions as a 3rd party vendor...
Can anyone recommend any company for applying for a 3 yrs experienced Oracle PLSQL developer?. I have tried Infosys, oracle, tech Mahindra, wipro, Genpact, few other start-ups in Bangalore. I am unable to apply in Accenture as I had applied few months back for another position. Any recommendations is highly appreciated. The companies that I have tried are either offering 30% raise or are yet to respond.

Does your School Board have a policy on Therapy Dogs in the classroom? If so, can you tell me what it is?
Google Classroom and Zoom was on the fritz all morning. Lord, I have never worked so fast at multitasking of talking to a few students on Zoom, the rest of the students through Go Guardian, texting parents through ClassDojo, and calling parents. I was only able to teach math and science 🤣
Started a new role within my org <1 year ago (been with the co several years) and have received incredibly positive feedback from many people about my performance so far, including my manager. I expressed my desire to revisit my compensation (off-cycle) because I am by all accounts exceeding expectations for my role and my manager was very supportive and encouraged me to provide them with a write up of what I want and why. Any advice? I’ve researched salary comps already
When I worked for PwC I once saw the son of a PwC Partner get fired for throwing his chair at his senior in the audit room.... So I guess the nepotism only guarantees you a job at PwC - you still have the difficult task of not attempting to physically assaulting co-workers to keep your job.
Transitioning out of Recruiting - how can I figure out my next step? I think I could be interested in HR Generalist work, HRIS/People Ops, or a DEI role. Aside from talking to people in these roles, how could I get a taste of each to see what would be the most enjoyable?
As a first generation college graduate, first one to land a job in Corp. America, there’s so much that I wasn’t prepared for like 401k, investing, along with other things that increase your TC that aren’t bonuses or your base salary or how to diversify your income. I’m 25 and I feel like there is SO much I still don’t know. Any good book recommendations/youtubers/podcasts that helps navigate this?
