Guys, I am actively looking for a role in Analytics/Data science/Product Management. I have had 2.5 yrs of experience in Analytics. I can join in a month of time post the offer. I do not have project management experience but find the domain pretty interesting and have also attended an extensive interview at a FAANG org for a similar role (the result of which I'm awaiting), so would like to interview for those roles as well.
Would appreciate to see any leads from here.

Hi.. I got an offer from Infosys. I have an experience of 5 years 9 months and my current CTC is 11 LPA. My designation here in pwc is Associate II. They have offered Senior Associate Consultant role with 13 LPA. I’m not sure how the hierarchy works here. Did they offer good designation or do I need to negotiate for a better role?
Also, how is work culture and perks at Infosys?

I have a question. I am the only female on my team now. They hired a replacement for my counterpart. This replacement is not reporting to me on paper but is really reporting to me according to my boss. I have had to have a hard conversation with him because he doesn’t show initiative in what we do. He has opening called our position a glorified babysitting job. I’m giving him until june to shape up. If you were in my position, what would be your advice?
I am hired for python developer role by Accenture (Application Development Analyst). Once I join Accenture.. will I have a chance to choose the project? Is there any place where am employee can see what are the opportunities available?

Any Googlers take a job on the east coast where most/all peers are on west coast? In a team match and the main hold up is all the people I’d work with are west coast, which out mean my 5/6pm would end at 8/9pm. I’m married with young kids and wondering if anyone has gone through this and has input?
So years ago I met a guy who it seemed we clicked well. I thought maybe this was something here that could be the basis for a relationship. But he never made a move. Then one day he looked sad and I asked him why and he said he was in hot pursuit of this woman but she LJBF'ed him. I took that at he's not interested in me and we became just friends.
Fast forward years later. I had Covid & he offered to actually come to my house and bring me stuff if I needed it. It makes me think - was I wrong?

Hi everyone, I’m an architectural designer (from Europe) with 1.5 yrs experience. I’m working for a practice in San Francisco, full-time from the office, getting 25 an hour. It is so expensive to live here, I am struggling to make things work. Is this a normal salary for someone of my experience or should I ask for a raise? I don’t want to be greedy but it’s so expensive out here… Thank you 🌈
Uni pasta with garlic panko crunchies.
Anyone struggled with this? I’m 30; I like the idea of having kids but also was never my “dream”. I get along with my friends’ kids ok, though I’d 100% hire a lot of help(love my career and would like to retain some freedom—the idea of not going to be able to go away for a weekend w my girlfriends/my husband with no kids troubles me).My husband LOVES kids, he takes charge of nearly all of the house chores, so I’d have support. People say don’t do it unless 100% sure;I feel I’ll never get there?
Are there any R4R professionals in this particular group? I have a tech sourcing and recruiting background. Would really appreciate any support following the recent layoffs at Meta. 🙏🏾

How do you handle a toxic leader in dictatorship environment? A leader that cannot take feedback, but instead manipulate you and yell at you for not “knowing your audience”. Oh and the company is owned by himself and his wife.
Any tips for interviewing at Cap Gemini ?
Looking for Advice: I am an HR Associate at a midsized company. I was just informed that our HR Generalist put in their resignation. My boss (HR Director) let me know that I am going to be taking on more responsibilities (previous responsibilities of the Generalist role). I’m wondering… should I request a role change or ask for a bigger salary/more compensation? What is appropriate in this situation?
Any advice is appreciated. :)
What is the best feedback(or feedback you’ve heard) to provide to a rejected candidate who is a close second but the other candidate just seems to be a bit better cultural fit?
Candidate we are proceeding has more energy, genuine, came across more authentic. Which is something hard to quantify.
We would’ve offered both if we had 2 roles
Hi everyone! Just looking for some insight. I’m about 4 years into HR, have my bachelors. I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting my masters in something relating to compliance/labor law and that side of HR. Shrm certification is also on my list. If anyone has some advice on what to get a masters in specifically, I’d be open to suggestions! I’m trying to find something that would be worth my while and would give me a step up. Thanks!
My CEO is looking to tighten up our work from home program and get people back into the office more. Most are out 3 to 4 days a week. It's not that they aren't working, but we are missing the energy you get as a collective. I suggested 3 days in office 2 days out and the 3rd week of the month is a hell week, everyone is in 5 days!!! (Of course i wouldn't say that publicly, just for the explanation of this scenario) Any suggestions. I would love to know if anyone else is in a similar situation
I am a Senior People (HR) Business Partner working in NYC under an H-1B visa (9 years of experience). I am looking for something new, but I am finding it extremely difficult to find a company who would support an H-1B Change of Employer (COE). I either get declined immediately as part of the application process or get told the company does not support visa sponsorship for non-tech roles. Any tips, tricks, or great companies where an H-1B COE would not be an issue?
I work at a Manufacturing company. We currently have our hourly team members clock in and out at a physical clocking machine. We would like to change this since one of our values is trust and it makes our team members feel like we don't trust them. What other ways are companies having hourly team members clock in/out?
I've been in PeopleOps (mostly focused on TA Ops) for over 9 years now. I've somehow gotten by without a degree in HR or a certification, but would like to get some more education to continue to advance my career. What are your thoughts on PHR vs SPHR vs SHRM for someone with my years of experience and current role as a manager?
For those that passed the SHRM-CP/SCP - how did you prepare to pass? How long did you study for- did you take any prep classes etc. How did you decide CP vs SCP
Hey all! New to Fishbowl. Looking to send some direct messages. Can I get some help here 😁
I am currently an HR professinal of 3 years with past background as a teacher/advisor in higher ed. I am aiming to pivot to a more L&D, training specialist type role in order to leverage the skills obtained in both areas. It would be the perfect career for me. Any openings or hiring at your company? I am not super concerned about the title as long as there is room for growth and I can pay for my 3 kids' daycare tuitions. ;)
Benefits Administrators/Professionals - I’ve been looking to improve my knowledge in understanding how insurance benefits work.
Any book or website suggestions?
Has anyone been successful at getting back sign on bonuses after a layoff? My C suite is pushing me to contact continuously more than 10 former employees who were laid off months ago for bonuses over $15k each. I feel so unethical/uneasy doing this, they have me lawyer rate shopping and are willing to sue the get the money back. I told them chances are slim of getting the money back. This is the tip of the iceberg. There’s more. Trying to get out of here asap, otherwise I’m going on STD.
I’ve said this before and this is reminder to myself as well. What we say, like, comment, and share on FB or other social platform can hurt our job search, promotions or even our employment status.
I pulled a candidate for screening and due to the complexity of the role, I shared the candidates resume with the HM prior to screening. The HM immediately found the candidate on FB and the first thing he saw was a PUBLIC post the candidate wrote going on full attack
I’ve been working as an HR Generalist or Manager for 6+ years, but I am wanting to make a move to organizational development/staff development. Does anyone have advice on how to make that switch? Certain certifications or courses that would be beneficial maybe. Thanks!
Severance question. I was laid off from my last company and luckily found something a week after being let go. My old company found out I got a new job from my LinkedIn and now wants to take my severance away "because I don't need it anymore and it's not a good look for the company paying someone severence when they are employed somewhere else." This is after the Severence Plan Agreement was signed but before it has been paid out. Is this a normal practice this companies and laying people off?
