Is strategy consulting really that great or is implementation the place to be? I know MBB is trying to move into implementation so is it useless trying to stick to strategy or should I prepare myself for the future by doing delivery?
I have an engineering background, graduated last December, and accepted MBB over FAANG (product design & manufacturing engineering offers) . This bowl’s focus on exiting consulting into FAANG (cont)
MBB 🐠’s, what are some viable options for someone with 5 yrs of ERP implementation experience to join an MBB?
How does LEK’s healthcare practice compare to that of each MBB firm? All views welcome, zealots and balanced opinions. I work for the healthcare team and am considering defecting. Just wondering if the grass really is greener.
Moving from big4 to core strategy firm (read MBB). Have 2 months before I join the new firm. Wondering what I can do to prepare myself, are there any courses, books that would help me gain some skills. I have mostly done PMO, tech implementations kind of work so far. Don't want to leave any stone unturned and want to make it work.
Assuming you are smart enough to do both (I know big assumption), are you better off being a SWE/data scientist at FAANG or equivalent level at MBB (based on YOE) from a compensation:WLB ratio?
Everyone talks about pay in PE, what does it actually look like? Better than post-MBA MBB?
How do MBB PE exit opps differ by office ? Given the global staffing model, can a McKinsey & Company BA pursue SF/ NYC/ BOS PE if they are tagged to any American office?
Just had an interview with a jeopardy multi day winner, multiple degrees and majors from top schools, ex-mbb, and held a major position in a major US city governance, while now being a director at a F50 company. All before the age of 35. Makes me just so feel so dumb and insignificant despite knowing that's probably not healthy haha. Anyone else have a similar experience? What was that peron's background?
Anyone looking for experienced case partners? My go-to’s have given up (radio silence for pipeline). Interviewed with MBB in undergrad & trying again as a lateral, want to stay fresh. Please DM me if interested & have least 20 cases under belt - thanks & good luck everyone!
Starting at MBB this fall (allegedly) and have a lot of free time now that classes have moved online. Is it worth taking free excel/modeling classes to prepare? Have never used excel beyond vlookup
If you leave T2 to join MBB, would it be seen negatively by your old firm (if you ever need the alum network) or am I overthinking this
Interviewing for MBB...how do I spin my tech implementation experience to strategy consulting?
Does anyone else find it absolutely hysterical that people group MBB/FAANG/PE/VC for the prestige-oriented folks and they never include BB IB 🤣
What would you all say are the best consulting firms to work at in the federal government space? I’m not sure how many “prestigious” firms (like MBB) have a significant federal practice at all.
Do the big four (S&A, Business transformation) give market sizing profitability etc type cases similar to MBB?
Has anyone ever applied to MBB multiple times before getting accepted? Or is the blacklisting thing real?
My partner and I are thinking about moving to NYC! Are there any CW jobs there right now or is it totally oversaturated from layoffs?
If you're laid off, do they ask you to resign? If so, can you refuse and ask them to fire you instead?
Necessary to bring laptop while on vacation? It will be at a developing country and we'll be moving around cities a lot, so I'm not comfortable carrying it around. What do you guys usually do?
How much do senior accountants make in Utah/surrounding states? Right now I have 1 year of experience in PA and make 60K but receive offers for 80-90k at other companies but probably not great growth potential. Classic question - at what point should you leave PA to maximize earning potential but not stunt career growth?
When your company has never even treated you better than Citadel treats its interns 😥😂 https://www.businessinsider.com/citadel-remote-summer-internship-wisconsin-resort-palm-beach-2020-8
How much salary I can ask in deloitte USI for 3.5 yr exp as SAP SD consultant? I am holding one offer as of now.
Best LAX shuttle service? Used Uber for every trip, but would prefer something with terminal pickup. Might as well book both ways elsewhere. Cost not the biggest factor but reliability.

Do you always log on to Skype? I hardly ever do, only for calls. should I be logging in?
H1B Indian here. Thinking of moving to EU. My wife works in US as well. Any recommendations for countries with easiest immigration policies to help her get a job and ultimately PR for both of us?

None of my Zoom meetings have been hacked or compromised, do the hackers think im ugly ?
For those in big 4, how much time between accepting an offer and start date have you been able to ask for? Is a month feasible/how should one phrase it? Two weeks just doesn’t feel like enough with this heavy burnout/having to wrap up deals at old firm
A3 in San Jose?
Is it worth speaking to HR if you keep getting passed up for promotion for the past year and a half (will be 2 in October) even if all your feedback is amazing and explicitly mentions from multiple ppl that you're ready for the promotion? (Assuming you can't leave due to other circumstances)
Anyone have experience with bariatric surgery, good or bad? I’m 6’0, currently 270lb (normal range pre-Covid was 220-250lbs) female recently diagnosed with Graves Disease (thyroid disorder) that has me swinging hormonally all the time affecting my mood and emotional coping skills, metabolic hunger signals, energy levels etc. I’m interested in a consultation and feeling bariatric surgery may a tool to provide some “bumpers” on my weight situation.
