My insurance license has lapsed. Back when I was at Merrill I had to sit through a week-long training course. Do I still need to do that to regain my license? Can it be waived w/ a CFP certification?

I’m a Contracts Specialist looking to get the most out of my career. I have 2 years of direct experience with this title, and 3 additional years experience with bidding/proposals. I have an MBA concentrated in marketing and am considering going back to school for a degree in contract management. Can anyone provide insight on the best ways to get the most out of this career financially? Is the degree worth it? For more insight, my company will cover 90%, but then I have to stay for 18 mos.

I want to do a sponsored MBA just to have a good time (aka don’t care about prestige of school). My gmat and undergrad gpa are pretty low compared to the McKinsey applicant pool (though I attended an Ivy for undergrad). The essays I would have to write also seem pretty daunting, and I’ve never been good at writing essays. Which schools are most likely to give me the most “credit” for the McKinsey brand and are willing to overlook a mediocre gmat, gpa, and essays? Asian male, 3.6 gpa and 710 gmat
