I'm looking to transition from test analysis to data scientist. How do I go about it? I have the relevant experience from both my degree and current position, as I'm a tester on the business side so I test data. I have applied to job but no response

How difficult is it to get a job in a language you don't have experience in? I have 7 years of experience in PHP and the job market doesn't seem to have a lot of openings. Lots of Python and Java though. I've applied to a number of these roles and haven't even gotten a phone screen.

J&J or Google? I’m in final stages and expecting an offer on both ends. TC seems about the same but J&J is based in Skillman, NJ whereas Google is in Austin, TX. Non tech roles in the same domain - Main difference is that J&J seems to be a higher level role (senior manager) whereas Google is a more junior one (lead). Any advice?

Has anyone here successfully negotiated a salary? (Banking/Finance). How did you do it and do you have any advice or tips? For example, you look up the title of your position on Glassdoor and it shows a much higher salary (20-30% higher) for a fairly large sample size n=>20. It’s also a mid level/senior position. I’m Have been an RN for three years. I have worked in the prison system for over two years. I recently applied and was offered a job in the ICU/CCU. Which I would love to try this new adventure. I like to look at pros and cons. Pros of the Prison my boss recognizes my hard work, I have great pay, and a great schedule. Cons-there is at times unequal distribution of duties, some bad attitudes with some of the staff. PPE is not always easy access, who knows who. What’s your thoughts?
