I have been at my company for 3.5 years. One year ago (2.5 years into my employment with them) they re-leveled everyone and I was bumped to an entry level position on the terms that they changed my job title when they re-leveled, so “technically” I am at the early stages of my new title. Even though the job duties did not really change.
I’m not sure the best way to approach this. Has anyone else had a similar experience or know how I should advocate for myself?

Government work:

Fed contractor: Hey, we really liked you but we can't fill you in as an intermediate developer for the position you applied for based on your YOE.

Me: I'm a intermediate developer based on the federal contractor guidelines in my current role.

Fed contractor: We'll let you know if a junior role opens up.

Sigh.

Currently doing tech support at Nextiva but would love an opportunity to maybe expand that into QA or something of that nature. My dream companies are Riot Games and Blizzard - how does one expand their resume or begin working on creds for a change of role (also new to fishbowl)

1. MIT micromasters in DS
2. Upgrad MSc in DS (with John Moore University and IIIT blr)
3. Any other option you recommend


The upgrad one is pricey yes, but I see folks who have done it and got a DS role.

I went to Toronto for the weekend and just got called a sand n-word, couple things:
1. I’m Indian so jungle would probably be better than sand.

Split classes take away joy! We have 6-7 classes at each grade level and they split 1-2 into the remaining 5 so we can have a 5 day schedule. Big classes plus the classroom culture homeroom teachers work so hard to achieve are ruined. Advice? (Plus we are told to "not be negative" by admin.)
