I’m guessing it might be the same... but at EY you turn in your card on the last day, but they deactivate your card at like midnight of your last day (i.e., over night so you basically don’t have a card or online account access on your last day). So if you’re a dumbass like me and planned to use your points (that you paid the annual fee to earn) on your last day, you’ll find that your account has been canceled. If you have points and have another AmEx, link your personal card‘s rewards program ahead of time.

I obviously don’t know so I was asking seriously....

In that case, they let you spend $5000 on the card as a termination/resignation bonus. Their way of saying thanks for all your hard work. Don’t go over though, as you will be responsible to pay anything over the $5k.

Start planning what you want now and spend away!

Re: lateral moves & pay

Been with my employer for 4.5 years and am considering a lateral move into a group that’s being newly created.
Connected with the hiring manager and he says my current background would make me a great candidate, but there would obviously still be a learning curve.
Anyhow, I then spoke to the recruiter and she ‘warned’ me that if I got an offer it will likely not come with a pay increase.

Is that common? And if so, how do I make the case for more $$

Any good product marketing related books for those who inspire to become one?

I am underpaid in my organization as per my 5.5 years of experience. In the salary discussion round I said 100% on my current CTC which would be around 10lpa & they agreed to it. I think 10lpa is still low for my experience range but I couldn't demand more because my current CTC was too low.

I just want to know if they will decide the offer based on what I expected or they will decide based on what the market and their company budget is for my experience range??

Salary interview question. Been talking to recruiters and they always ask me about salary (what I'm making/what I would like to be paid). Currently making $76k as a SA1. 2 questions
(1) Should I be rounding & say I make $80k or be transparent at exactly what I'm making
(2) How do you know what to ask for? For ex, been seeing posts on Siegfried Group with ppl saying they make $100k. Should I be asking for that initially? I don't want to seem like a gold digger but also don't want to aim low
