Does anyone have websites or tips on where to find info on what a company is failing in? For example, let's say they are terrible at resolving safety issues.. this wouldn't be something plastered over the news such as Business Insider or Wall Street Journal but would be great to use as leverage to sell products. Any tips on where to find this kind of info?

Hope that makes sense

Perhaps press releases on the Business Wire?

I mean glassdoor is always an option and just search the reviews for key words that line up with what you are selling. Also google has a news notification feature where you can get notified of stories that pop up in target industries accounts etc, so you can get noticed of trigger events

I'd say Glassdoor, or here. Especially here, because of the anonymity. I doubt that type of info would be just put out there in a database.

If I live in a different state from my employer/ workplace, which state should I fill out the tax withholding form for?

I am filling itr for the first time so I'm a bit worried, as I bought some coins in exchange transferred to metamask, then swaped coins, the later transferred the coins back to exchange. Now I don't have the metamask address, so i dont know the transaction i did.

While filling itr do I have to disclose each trade or just the net profit?

How is everyone’s outlook on recruiting so far? Are people just starting? Are things looking fairly positive/like a normal new year or have your career offices said anything that would indicate otherwise?

Additional Posts in Sales

Since starting at this company in January 2022, they’ve increased my base pay from 75k to 85k. Moved me in a desirable territory to maximize sales. allowed me to speak and train reps for what has been working. Given me the freedom to work strategies that work for me.

I absolutely love this company so far. I know my worth is higher than 85k base but sheesh. The way they value me and treat their employees right. Maybe it’s worth the lesser pay?

Currently been at company for 2 months, turns out market fit and % of reps hitting quota is horrible (36%) so I started reaching out for better opportunities.
Should I keep looking and try to land something else or stick with it in hopes there’s a turnaround.?

Has anyone ever made the transition from sales to marketing? I’ve done Business development for over 3 years now and I’m super excited to make the transition as sales is not my passion. Just curious if any classes I can take or other steps I can take to be ready for a marketing role. Thank you!

When is it time to give up on a job offer coming in and move on? Internal recruiter has been in constant contact with me and extremely positive, but the final decision seems to keep getting pushed off because they can’t get all the decision makers together to decide - 3 weeks now. Feels like I’m being strung along or maybe their second choice. I wasn’t looking to leave my current role, but this is an awesome opportunity. It’s starting to distract me in my current job though and can’t let it go.

Need some guidance. Currently in Advanced Services with 90k base pay and no stocks options in Texas, I can be a TAM but I dont think the

company will pay more a lot more. I am looking into presales type of positions as I want get out technical troubleshooting roles and I a good

background in Networking and Network Security, 7+ years experience.

For me presales are still technical roles which doesnt have much of the troubleshooting component but demos, POC's and having good communication sk

Does your job do different sales contests? I have noticed my job only provides rewards on contests with Amazon gift cards but would much rather have a visa or Amex gift card. I am thankful of course but just wondering why they only offer AGC’s and incentive rewards…

Two offers. Is it best to choose the company that is most stable because it’s larger but lacks a clear product offering and entering a new sector or the company that is more in growth phase but has clearer product offering?

bases are off by 20k, haven’t countered yet. OTE sounds comparable but have more faith in the clearer product offering.

I was told that I was the chosen candidate for a new role that I applied for which will be promotion, I just recently received my offer and was surprised and decided to start negotiating. My boss immediately said that this is offer, either take it or lose it and no negotiating, and was only given a day to decide whether I want it or not, so he repost the position, and was also told that I was going about it the wrong way for trying to negotiate, Is this wrong of me to negotiate?

Any suggestions on how to quantify admin assist on sales? I know it’s complicated per org, but trying to find a path so admin commission on sales isn’t subjective.
I know technically everything a sales team admin does helps lead to sales but not sure how to quantify it so it isn’t dependent on the whims of a manager and whether or not they’re having a bad day.
Any suggestions on milestones or performance measures? KPIs? Want to make sure admins get a slice of the pie they helped make.

Seeking advice regarding salary negotiations for vehicle wear and tear (In my current role we have fleet vehicles). The new offer 95k / 155k OTE (less in salary but better commission structure, uncapped based on performance). They are currently offering gas mileage which will not support vehicle maintenance. The role requires regional coverage from MA to northern NJ weekly. Anyone have experience in negotiating a vehicle maintenance package?
