It took about a full week for me to feel “normal” (no more cramps). I had some irregularities bowel wise for a couple days longer and 2 weeks I felt back to 100%.
Not much recovery for me- but I also only had one egg retrieved. I have heard from others that the more eggs the longer the recovery. Hope you feel better soon.
I will say the harder part was the emotional aspect - likely resulting from the change in hormones. I had all the feels for a few weeks after.
Drink Gatorade/Powerade rest a lot and this will be the first time you’re thankful for your period to come which will cleanse you. It took me a week to recover and didn’t feel fully better until I had my period

I was fortunately just fine - I had planned to spend the day on the couch, but popped up and did some work on the computer for a bit in the afternoon. I had my retrieval on a Friday and traveled on Monday to a major client meeting for the week with no problem. I think there is also something to recovery relative to your egg count - I had an AFC of 9 and only got 4 eggs.
Colace, high protein and electrolyte intake really helped me.
Thank you both for the tip!
It did take a bit, don’t remember the exact amount of time but not immediate at all. I had issues with pain while urinating in my pelvis

It’s varied for me from almost no recovery to a full week of feeling so bloated I couldn’t eat. It sounds like it’s within the range of normal but if it’s super painful even after Tylenol or if you have trouble breathing, definitely go in to get checked out. My worst round I got OHSS and had to get fluids drained.
Thanks a lot for sharing. OHSS sounds like absolutely the worst thing to have to deal with and I’m so sorry about that.
Following for all the tips I am on day three post retrieval! I feel so dehydrated despite drinking a ton of water with IV fluid in it. The pain is subsiding though. I went up two flights of stairs and felt so winded but I assumed it was just lack of exercise.
