We get a maximum of 22 weeks. 4 weeks disability before due date, 6 weeks disability after birth, 12 weeks paid parental leave after disability is done.
They just recently increased the paid parental leave portion from 6 weeks to 12!
At EY we get 2 weeks Short term disability before baby, 6 weeks short term disability after, 10 weeks paid parental leave and can tack on 3 weeks of vacation. So In total 21 weeks. 2 before and 19 after
The 6 weeks of short term disability runs concurrently with your 16 weeks paid leave. You get 16 weeks paid leave regardless of if you are the mother or the father. Fathers don't get STD. That's why I'm clarifying
Deloitte is 6 weeks disability after birth (8 weeks if you had a c-section) plus 16 weeks paid leave
1 week PTO to start 5 or 7 weeks STD depending on if c-section 16 weeks paid family leave Any PTO you you have and want to use. My third the timing was such that I had a full year of PTO accrual saved plus you accrued while you are out on leave. I took 32 weeks. I knew it was my last, and timing worked out beautifully.
Did you pay for additonal STD coverage?

Ours is 14- 8 weeks family bonding, 6 weeks disability. Most people tack on vacation and sabbatical if they can and end up with close to 6 months
Usually you have to take 3-5 days of PTO to start before STD kicks in.

Yes. Beyond the paid leave offered by PwC, FMLA protects your job retention if you’d like to extend to a non-paid period of leave.
I am in industry and currently pregnant. My company provides 100% paid short term disability (6 weeks, 8 weeks if c-section), then 6 weeks paid leave from the company. Anything additional is through the state’s paid leave program which I can take for up to 6 more weeks at partial pay.
