Hey Everyone! I was let go of a tech startup. Mostly doing BD, 65k just moved up to an Account Manager role at 75K +5k (Quarterly Bonus)≈90k/year.

The new company I work for Imports Sustainable Restaurant Products. And I focus on long term sales cycles. Nothing too sexy about it tbh. I received a job offer last week from Alvarez & Marsal to work as a consultant at the Transaction Advisory Department (financial due diligence team), where I will be paid more fairly (salary & bonus). Should I accept it? Or would leaving EY that early not be wise?

Labor Day is coming up quick. What is your company's go-to gimmick? (custom gifts, deep discount, special customer testimonials, etc)

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

I’m so done with sales. I’m burnt out and uninspired with my job. The pay is nice, but I need something more fulfilling and less stressful. That's a relationship you have to nurture.

And I bet that most of you have more than a handful of happy customers who would refer you business. The easiest way to get more leads and pipeline is to ask for referrals.
