Hey everyone! I’m a 3rd year litigation associate revamping my wardrobe for work (suits, dress shirts, pants, sports jackets, etc.). Any recommendations on where to go? I wouldn’t mind splurging a bit but not looking to take out a mortgage for my new wardrobe.
For suits, pants, and sport jackets check out SuitSupply. For dress shirts I highly recommend State and Liberty if you have an athletic build or Bonobos if you want a lot of different options on how the shirt fits. You didn’t ask about shoes but if you’re looking to save money check out Thursday Boot Company. They make extremely affordable dress shoes for around $180 that last a long time and look much more expensive than they are. For ties check out Tie Bar for $25 silk ties that look great and have a million patterns and options.
Id say Allen edmonds factory seconds are much better value from a shoes perspective. Just what and cop deals every so often. Don’t be too set on buying however many / whatever new pairs you need simultaneously.
Charles Tyrwhitt shirts are my go-to. They’re cheap and hold up well

Suit Supply and Proper Cloth both provide excellent quality made-to-measure mens clothing for very reasonable prices. And Proper Cloth’s bespoke shirts are unparalleled in my view for the price—they’re all I wear to work.
If you’re willing to edge up to ~$1300 for a BIFL true bespoke suit (that’s as cheap as bespoke gets), I’d recommend Alan David.
Uniqlo
Spanx for pants. Onequince.com for classic silk button downs.
I hear that CEGO makes good bespoke shirts for a reasonable price, but the first order requires a 5 shirt minimum.
Indochino for suits and shirts (cheap and custom), but I honestly wear lululemon dress pants and they’re the most comfy pants I’ve ever worn. Slightly stretchy, but look formal. I have em in every color
I’ve also had great luck with banana republic. They have nice suits for very reasonable prices.
Commenting to follow as well
Here for the sports jackets
Just went through this process so have some thoughts… love Lulu dress pants, have also gotten Bonobos chinos in a few colors - both incredibly comfortable and worth paying a little more imo. Can vouch for Charles Thrywitt shirts. Very cheap for decent quality shirts that are perfectly functional and offer a ton of options. Tie Bar is one of my favorite secrets for ties and accessories, couldn’t recommend more highly - again awesome value. For shoes, I like Meermin a lot - $200 range and look very nice, get a lot of compliments on my loafers from there. I have had several SuitSupply suits and think it’s very overrated. Shoddy quality, regardless of the price, in my experience
I have two top end suits from Suit Supply (about $1,100 custom tailored), two custom suits from IndoChino (about $400-$500 custom tailored), and one custom suit from CT ($500).
I love the Suit Supply suits (client meetings and presentations), but the IndoChino suits (routine court appearances and depositions) are the best bang for the buck and hold up quite well. I think the CT suit is the worst one and don’t recommend (popped buttons after wearing 2X).
For the day-to-day, I also wear slacks and dress suits from Unqilo or Zara.
Gave up and went to M.M. LaFleur for efficiency. Very happy with the quality/products but they were NOT cheap.
Proper Cloth shirts are indispensable. The best. Also second Indochino as well. Have a couple nice suits and they far exceed in quality what I paid for them (about 400 each). For day to day, I like Banana Republic dress pants.
