I’m a recent graduate and currently work in insurance — looking to move into banking. I’ve been practicing financial modeling, studying interview guides, and trying to network but that’s been the hardest part. Does anyone have any additional advice? Major areas of interest are AM, S&T, IB (levfin). Am I wasting my time or is it worth trying?

Is security+ a good entry cert to help transfer to cyber positions (vulnerability mgmt/threat intelligence)? I come from a IT governance and controls background. Been applying to cyber positions but no luck.. Also don't feel like studying for cissp right now. I got CISA and CISM

Hi all, I have over all 15 years exp from build and release background.. out of which last 3 years as Project Manager .
I took a break last month .. now I got a offer from Citibank as PMO / C11 band.
Is it advisable to switch from project manager to a PMO role ??? Will this experience help me if I want to switch to Program manager role outside ?? Please advise .. any info on work life balance in Citi and annual hike , bonus will be helpful

I’m torn between 2 offers. One as a Managing Consultant at a boutique talent consulting firm and one as a Talent/OD Lead in industry. My long term goal is to become a Director/VP one day. People are telling to go for the industry role then but I kind of still want to be in consulting for a few more years. Will it be harder for me to make the switch later to a more senior role in HR from consulting than to climb the ranks at one company?

My friend has following offers from three companies after MBA (two offcampus and one from campus)

1. Finance Effectiveness/ EPM role at one of the Big 4
2. Deal Advisory role at one of the Big 4
3. Organization strategy role from one of the top consulting companies (not Big 4)

Which role offers the best exit options? All the offers from US support teams of the companies.

Hi! I’m a first-year associate working at a large regional firm. I attended a well-ranked, but regional law school and my grades weren’t stellar. School was never very motivating for me, and I put way more effort into internships and networking than my studies during law school. Luckily, I love to network and landed an awesome job at a big firm. Eventually, I’m hoping to work in-house. My question is this, will my grades always follow me? I’ve heard that with time and experience, not so much.

How long should the hiring process take at Unity? It’s been 6w and 8 interviews…still not heard even after contacting hiring manager and recruiters. Is this a good sign or a bad sign?

Currently 6 years at job A at 100K and 10K annual bonus but lil to no upward mobility. It's safe if not going anywhere.

Recruiter reached out regarding Job B at 130K with greater advancement potential but it starts out at 6 Months Contract to Hire per the agency contract. No bonus, benefits adequate by comparison. There is no guarantee to go full time.

Gonna say the harsh truth. Part of the issue with these salaries is the configuration of these cohorts…For example design should NOT be lumped in with Product Managers. Working on customer facing, revenue producing Products should NOT be lumped in with internal Products. That’s why these numbers are dragged down. In real Product orgs there are very big gaps in comp between the different types of roles and that is okay.
