Does anyone else feel that we’re being told “everyone is hiring” but no one is ACTUALLY hiring? More so, putting people through the ringer then saying “we’re on a hiring freeze/position put on hold”. People are not just candidates you put in your back pocket for a rainy day as much as agency’s may think they’re doing a justice by adding you to the “pipeline”. Just a ton of corporate buzz words all leading to “this job is on hold for now”. Recruiting has become a joke of a position

Graduated from a UK target uni in Real Estate (not particularly finance heavy, maybe 1/5 was finance). Looking to try and get out of retail banking and move to corporate / IB, think MBD at GS. Doing CFI modelling course atm to get my skills up to scratch. Would CFA be useful or not really, online chatter varies? Any other tips would be great. Thanks
