Hey everyone! S2 here and I’m interested in becoming a life coach after public so wanted to offer help to anyone who isn’t happy with the mentoring they’re getting at work and would like a second perspective. I’m also hoping to coach in areas beyond career, like core beliefs, values, habits, or relationships. I’ve completed online certification courses, I’ve done a ton of self study of other coaching content and I believe you can still provide value and help to someone even if you haven’t (cont)

Wtf is a life coach and why would we think you’re qualified to coach us lol

like

Sometimes a second perspective can be useful! Just trying to help 😃 I’m not asking people to pay me, I’m just looking for chances to learn

S2 made an offer. If you're not interested, scroll on by. Why be rude?

like

Thank you!

Are you a 9/10 or better (answer honestly) 20 something female in LA that men will pay just to talk to them? Other than that I can’t figure out why on earth an S2 accountant would feel they’re qualified to coach anybody’s life.

Ignore all the rude ignorant people commenting here. You should be proud of yourself for wanting to be a life coach, and I’m proud of you for already taking steps to achieve your goal. I wish you the best of luck!

Any in-house attorneys ever consider going into (or back to) private practice at a firm? What are your pro/con arguments? What terms would you consider most important in your decision to go to a firm? For context - I'm 15 YOE and have worked in government, a very large firm, and most recently in-house. My firm experience wasn't good, but that firm is a machine and doesn't treat attorneys well. Appreciate all the great perspectives from this group.

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

I'm a 35 year old Officer in Indian Navy with 14+ years of experience and good job security. However, I'm planning to switch to the corporate world.
Apart from my duties and taskings, I've been developing niche products/ software for Navy for many years now.

I'm wondering if I can transition from my current profile to a mid-senior level role in the corporate.

I am good with Python, Java, SQL coding and currently learning Azure...

I can DM or email my resume for appropriate roles/ profiles.

Howdy!
Is it common for to get asked to bring personal info such as ID’s SSN cards and void check to the first formal interview. I think maybe this recruiter is trying to speed up the process but seems unconventional. I am not familiar with that and I’m not comfortable providing any of that info prior to a clear offer. How do you feel about that ?

Anxiety before your sales demos?

Do these 2 things I used to do to get over it:

1. Know the product inside out - it will take time for you to gain confidence in your sales abilities but if you know the product will you’ll be more confident in that domain.

2. Do more demos - the more calls and presentations you do the more comfortable you’ll get. My advice is to try to get on a lot of presentations, even with leads that aren’t so good.
