In my last position I was a full-cycle AE for a proptech company for 2 years. I dealt with a wide range of customer types in the real estate and mortgage/appraisal space. Deal sizes were all over the place from $5,000 to $50,000+/year. Before moving to sales I was a digital marketer and did marketing consulting.

I recently switch orgs internally & found out that I was under compensated in my previous role. I’ve been promoted three times & have been always recognized as a high performer. My previous role had a title change to mgr and the pay was much more than mine. As well as new hires in the entry level roles were getting offers close to my salary. Just learned that Kearney used to be a part of McKinsey?? When I was in college students in the business school would always talk about MBB as the gold standard— at least the few times I stepped foot in the business school for projects. But Kearney was never ever really in the conversations.

Cons: I’m worried people might think it’s too much of a time commitment.

In the EVLs drafted by the lawyers, they indicated that I gained or used certain skills or software at previous companies (it's a strategy for sponsorship) while in fact I didn't for some of the skills. Anxiety before your sales demos?

Do these 2 things I used to do to get over it:

1. Know the product inside out - it will take time for you to gain confidence in your sales abilities but if you know the product will you’ll be more confident in that domain.

2. Do more demos - the more calls and presentations you do the more comfortable you’ll get. My advice is to try to get on a lot of presentations, even with leads that aren’t so good.

Need some advice. Work for AT&T corp Store Manager. Been in wireless industry for about 14 years. Base is about 60k and commission and incentives add to 35k extra. Single dad and have worries making less then 80-85k if I change companies. Don’t have degree but considered a top store managing about 20 people. Not getting the opp to progress past this level. What are good areas I should be looking at? Staying in sales or managing sales? Account manager etc. Not a fan of cold call type roles

Do you feel 15% of gross is good incentive for referrals into their prospects and customers that need complex integration and custom development solutions? We have paid this to the reps company before but the rep is the one with the relationship. Where possible we prefer to comp the rep.
