Yeah, how does your trainer "lose motivation"? You need a new one, and if your trainer is employed by a gym, you should bring that up to their management.
Your previous trainer is terrible
Cut down as much added sugar from your diet as possible. Most processed foods have a lot added in. Also maybe get a new trainer?
Congratulations on losing the weight!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 get a new trainer or someone else who'll support you asap!
2235 calories per day is a massive amount of food for someone your size to be burning. Highly doubt that's accurate. I'm 5'1" and eat 1600 max per day, usually around 1450 if not exercising in order to lose weight.
Cross fit?
Get off veg
"Your trainer lost motivation in helping you". Remember. You lost the weight. You did the work. You stuck to the diet. It clearly worked. Keep doing what the trainer had you do, except stop paying them. It's a slow process
A1 - she just doesn't show up to our sessions on time. and he repeats the same set of exercises which wasn't the case when we started. I want to drop the trainer and see if I can achieve this by myself..
Exercise is important, but the big gains come by tailoring your diet.
It's mostly all about calories in vs calories out. It's tough on the road, but pay particular attention to portion size, watch for hidden calories (booze, dressings, etc), and find a way to move more. Way up 15 mins earlier and take a quick walk, do some push-ups, etc. just incremental add one to what you're already doing. Do you know your TDEE?
Sounds to me like your body may be used to the exercises. Agree that you need to switch things up, and a trainer should help with that. Get a new one - if having a trainer has worked for you this far, get a new one who can help you get the rest of the way.
Thanks folks. Looks like I will be getting a new trainer after all :)
Get a new trainer
Estimation of calorie expenditure from exercise is so variable. Just eat 1400-1500 calories per day, exercise four days per week, and you'll lose weight.
P2 - I just used something online and it showed my TDEE as 2235 calories/day
It sucks for small people but we can't eat a lot if we want to lose weight.
You probably need to switch your exercises and intensity. Also your trainer. 2235 is a lot of calories. Make sure your TDEE is accurate and you're not overestimating your physical exertion rate. You can definitely do it on your own, read up more on nutrition and look up workouts on bodybuilding.com.
Yup - highly unlikely OP is exerting that many calories. Thanks for more eloquently saying what I tried to, A1.
I agree with D2, I'm 4'11 and my trainer has me in 1350 calories a day, packed with protein.. I usually burn around 650 calories a workout and replace half of them
