I'm a 6th year attorney in NYC. Strictly defense work; started out with the City Law Dept, did a year and a half of med mal/construction, and for past year and a half have been at a well known defense firm working on high exposure construction accident cases. Contemplating taking a couple interviews at plaintiff's firms to see if there is a good fit. IBM is offering me the position of Test Specialist with 7A band but it has offered the position of Senior Consultant with 6B band to my friend. We both are having 6 YOE in Testing and have been tagged to the same project in IBM. Then why this difference?? Am I loosing out on my designation?? Or is my friend loosing out on band??
