I was just wondering what your opinion was on the company Revature? I kind of wish I could do it, but I have two kids and cannot relocate. I’m just having a really hard time getting a job as an entry level front end developer. Does anyone know of a company like revature, but where you don’t have to relocate? Please let me know.

I need some thoughts on what to ask for a starting salary. My background is ten years in tech support, and currently Lead Graphic Designer for my department with about four years of graphic design behind that. I also just finished my master's degree in Human Computer Interaction design (and was among the top in my class). How much of a raise do I push for going from Brand Designer to Senior Brand Designer?

When you get stuck on a design or when you are starting a big project, what are your creative processes? Do you look at colors? inspiration? Pen and paper? Illustrate something? Want to work with my designer on a toolbox of steps to pick from to find what works best for their individual creative process? I know my creative process is look at inspiration, pen and paper, then start designing, but I don’t want to assume that’s theirs too.

Any program recommendations for building decks for clients? Indesign is obviously the best IMO, but I’ve found it difficult for clients who don’t have a design background and want to make changes in the future. I feel keynote is a nightmare...wondering if I’m alone in this sentiment lol. It’s so challenging to layer things/ mask photos/ build custom type paths etc. having trouble finding a good alternative and would appreciate any suggestions!!
