Hey fish, question for you. Is it possible to get into a LMM firm or real assets investing with a consulting background but no CDD experience?
Thanks!

Is there a market for lawyers to add expertise In crisis management or reputation management? My goal is to counsel clients on how to respond to media inquiries without saying or posting something detrimental to a potential litigation while still maintaining communication with their client base. Currently working in product management for a SaaS firm, and want to break into finance- preferably within wealth management (investment related role, preferable not as a quant or middle office). What pathway could I take, give me both options, including and excluding B-School.

What I’ve considered:
1) transition to consulting and from there to IB
2) B-school to desired industry
3) go all guns out trying to get into IM directly

I'm currently an SE for a no-code platform, in which I work professional service hours as a technical person at the company. I sometimes work with integrations and build API requests and such to grab/send information across other applications.

My question is, what are the most ideal technical skills that a top tier Solutions Engineer should have? I'd like to hone my skills on new tech, specifically things that can help advance my knowledge as an SE and create career security.

Hi folks,

I have 9 years of experience as a QA out of which last 2-3 is an individual contributor (sole qa owner) plus team lead of a qa team.. I want to pursue masters in the UK so I can have a role like Project Manager/Test Manager/Scrum Master in the future.. what course should I go for:
1. MSc Management
2. Business Analysis and Consulting
3. MBA (not so easy as I don't want to give GMAT, will select certain colleges that do not need GMAT score)

Thinking about a move to the client side. Thoughts/advice from those of you who've done it?

Currently plan to stay in PEG forever, but sometimes I think I might like to be an operating partner in a smallish growth fund (no interest in deal team). Hi fellow PE fishes, seeking career advice.
Currently in an APAC based LMM/MM PE focusing on tech and had joined the firm straight out of school. I intend on sticking to PE long term, but am curious about my career and financial trajectory in 3 cases.

1) stick to my current firm and eventually make partner

2) go for a Master’s degree and then move to an UMM/MF PE or MBB -> UMM/MF

3) Stay in the current firm and start my own fund with other Associates in the future.
