Any moms or soon to be moms out there who are self employed/business owners? I stared a firm with three colleagues two years ago and am expecting my first child this spring. We are over the moon but I’m anxious about how I can manage this while not letting my career go down the drain. As a small business owner…maternity leave is not a thing. My husband will take a few weeks off but I’m nervous he’ll go back to work and it will be my career in the toilet. (I’ve expressed them to him!) Any tips?

I’m about 1.5 years into my professional career. Graduated undergrad in May 2019 and I’m good at the technical/analytical aspects of my job. I’ve invested lots of time in building these skill sets. I need to improve my presenting, deck creation, and overall client communication skills. Obviously there’s textbooks and resources for technical things but not so much for soft skills.
