So if I negotiated one round and they upped to apparently what "the recruiter was approved to go up to" but it's not enough for me to take it even though I like the team, do I reject to the external recruiter I worked with first, the internal recruiter who provided the offer letter, or the HM who called to present the offer and who I last interviewed with? Want to maintain good relationships with all parties so want to be totally professional about it, but unsure what's best.

Hello! I was recently contacted by tech recruiters for PMM roles and they both shared job descriptions for 12 months contract coming with a fixed salary. I was wondering if there would still be room for negotiations during interviews with hiring managers or these recruitment agencies are supposed to hire contractors within the budget. What are the usual compensations you can negociate when you are not directly contacted by the client? Is limited to salary & bonuses?

Background: I work in the technical side of cyber (IR, VM, AppSec) and want a degree thats less technical. I put very little value in a graduate degree but it is a requirement for a long term career goal of mine (ive always wanted to teach at the collegiate level).

I’m currently in IT Audit at a B4. Thinking about switching to cyber because ITA feels like it could be done by a high schooler and there aren’t any exit ops. Is the grass much greener in cyber? What do you like/dislike about it?
