Deloitte is not for developers
Try slalom they are hiring devs too
I joined slalom as a dev with 2 yoe at 130k in a tier 2 city. Grew a ton over a few years (transitioned into an architect, took on people management, learned the sales processes etc.). Eventually joined salesforce, but couldn’t recommend slalom enough for the dev track
The only downsides I would say are that year over year raises are awful (and I was a very high performer), and you’ll sometimes have to work with ex-big 4 consultants that joined slalom to coast who are lazy, yet still condescending
Thank you for the inputs!
If u want to continue on dev track
See opportunities with product companies
That would be best bet
Even google is hiring developers
Thanks! Will note it and work on these areas as well.
Accenture will pay and is generally good work life balance. Deloitte is okay but is better if you are a business analyst. PWC I am unsure. IBM varies by team. Some of my colleagues really enjoyed it.
Capgemini is another one that I am unsure on. Your best bet may be working for a platinum partner if you want really solid pay.
Try to avoid WITCH firms (Wipro, Infosys etc).
I would not recommend capgemini
There are a lot of smaller firms not one of these big consultants that offer a better work life balance. Money can be comparable but when you get to the top the big guys have more upside.
Check out fast slow motion, Copperhill consulting, horizontal digital. Saascend
Thank you! Will definitely check them.
We need you at Accenture! So many projects and not enough developers. DM me and I can arrange for a referral.
Thanks, I've applied already. Waiting for next steps.
I have roles open across several of the most admired brands in the SFDC partner space. Big Tier I's, and excellent Tier II's. Message me if you'd like my help. Otherwise, lots of great options out there. If you put your interviewing hat on--ask smart, thoughtful questions in support of your career goals and employer type, you're sure to find something outstanding.
Can you please reply in DM?
