Hey fishes! Need some guidance here, currently working at a top 10 firm, I like the IT audit work, I enjoy my team, but I’m feeling like this will be my last busy season here as I want to try some place different + get better pay. My main question is… should I go for a big 4 for 1-2 years to gain that experience in my resume and then jump to industry or should I jump to industry directly? TIA

I suggest to go to Big4 first

like

If you like the work then big 4 would look nice on the resume. You might even end up liking big 4 and want to stay. If you hate it though, only a 1-2 year stint is pretty doable

like

That's a good point too, could easily get your foot in the door and then pivot to something else down the line

Get B4 on the resume for a fee years then leave. It's not worth it unless you want partner

I've been with my boyfriend for about 2 years now. I only get to see him on the weekend because we have opposite working schedules during the week. But I've noticed his family asking him for help on stuff on the weekend and he tends to try to fit it in some way. This annoys me since he sees his family throughout the week but my only quality time is on the weekends. He also hasn't been doing anything to get him closer to his life goals because his family always asks him for his time and money....
