Don't put your suitcase on the bed. Don't let strangers "borrow" your phone. Board asap if you need overhead storage PreCheck + Clear is great Be pleasant with all staff Be early if you must get there, cut it close if it's not really your time. It is not required to drink all the "free" drinks. Traveling personal try everyone's corporate code looking for the best rate (domestic)
GM1 yup - Denver Bonvoy property was the latest. Good to have backups for reasoning! As I mentioned, it’s not at all common.. but I am risk averse so I don’t like taking the chance. Once our corporate rate ran out at a hotel we had a large team staying at and the nightly rate went up to 600. My biggest fear in this scenario is booking a rate that gets denied and being asked to pay an absurd amount like that - however rare it may be!
This really isn’t a “hack” but I feel like it’s often overlooked...wash your hands constantly, and wipe down commonly touched surface areas. People often get sick from traveling, but you can do a lot to mitigate.
I also think people feel like because they’re traveling, they can eat whatever they want. Eating clean/healthy will make you feel so much better. If you wouldn’t normally eat Panda Express at 10am, why do it when traveling?
I carry a travel pack of Clorox wipes. When I sit down in the plane I use one to quickly wipe down the surfaces I will touch. Seatbelt clasp, tray table, touch screen, arm rest.
Buy a small travel power strip that gives you 3-4 outlets by plugging into one. Helps alleviate the lack of power outlets at many airports and allows you to charge all your stuff out of one outlet at a hotel. And maybe make friends at airports if you let others use outlets on your power strip that you aren’t.
Priority Pass is mostly useful outside the US as most US lounges are run by the airlines. AMEX Platinum and other premium travel cards often bundle Priority Pass with other domestic line options, such as the combo of Centurion and Delta lounge access.
I’ve gotten excellent use out of Priority Pass internationally. Obviously the lounges vary widely in quality and amenities though.
I’m also a solo traveler and hate hostels because you just hang out with other foreigners so I use couchsurfing just to meet locals and learn about the best local places to eat/party. I still get my own hotel room, just use it to meet people.
1. Use Space Bags. Not only they are great in flattening your clothes but if something spills, it won't mess your clothes. 2. Purchase a portable steamer. They are much better (and cleaner) than the hotel iron. 3. If you stay on the same hotel every week, ask if you can leave a bag with your toiletries and gym clothes. That's less stuff that you have to carry.

Never use your hand to flush in an airplane. Kick it! 😂
P1 - was just trying to give an environmental friendly way to do something!

Wipes are a must!!!! I was traveling on United today and the tray table smelled bad. Asked the flight attendant for some wipes.

Get priority pass to get free meals at the airport and save your food budget for a bigger meal later!

I use secretflying.com to keep track of flight deals, I don’t pay over $500 for any international flight. Been to Asia twice recently for $300 direct.
