To Guys who are preferring Mindtree over other organizations , I am listening several involuntary exits currently at Mindtree when a lateral is not able to get into project within 90 days or 3 opportunities. In some scenarios, project team will reject you even without any discussion and that will be counted. HR will force you to resign . Just was going through yammer and found some painful events. Based on the recent direction Deloitte is heading you will be forced to work on multiple projects at the same time. Don't try to prove anything in the initial days especially by putting in additional hours. This is my 3 rd year at Deloitte there is always some project waiting for you.
Maybe it's a thing for your practice but this definitely still isn't common or even the plurality of what happens. None of my peers are going through this issue and this isn't a complaint I've seen in my network or outside of it in broader practice-wide forums (including here) / events.
You don't join a team. You get staffed on a project or you find one and that's your team.
It depends. Some are staffed on day 1 without looking. Some are not and have to hunt for projects.
Generally you have to find your own projects, though as a new hire it’s likely that you’ll just get assigned to a project until you build up enough of a network to find projects on your own
Ask if they are hiring you for a specific project or upcoming need. It’ll give you some background.
Assuming you are referring to the Digital Customer Salesforce practice, you will almost certainly have a project waiting for you the moment you complete your onboarding training. As far as interviews, expect a few things: - They will validate your Salesforce knowledge through basic Q&A - just to make sure you will be of immediate value to a project team - They will want to understand more about what you bring to the consulting world - your creativity, leadership experience with teams, ability to think critically, communications skills and presence (meaning, will you embarrass anyone in front of a client), and how you translate Salesforce development knowledge into an ability to tell the client how they actually benefit from the platform. - Most importantly, these will all be people you will actually work with, so they want to get to know YOU. The real you. They want to be sure you are a fit for the team/practice. Would they want you on one of their projects. I interviewed someone in the past who had the best tech skills on earth, but would never have worked as a member of a collaborative team, so I didn't pass them out of the interview process. Essentially, don't stress the interviews. If you have the skills and you're a good person who plays well in the sandbox with others, things should go well.

This is the best answer I’ve seen and totally accurate!
Ahh gotcha - Thank you all for the responses! Any tips for the final round? Have 3 interviews back to back to back w/ Manager, Specialist Master, and MD
I joined at height of Covid last year. It took me 6 months to get my first project. Lots of networking calls.. I mean I had a full list of ~100 ppl that I would haves spoken with. hard to get used to the culture ..
I totally understand this. Are you a campus hire? Did you feel unmotivated during the process ?
Coming in as an experienced hire senior consultant is the hardest job in Deloitte
Ahh gotcha. Appreciate the response and heads up!
Lol sorry to burst your bubble but this is not House of Lies
