Personally I won't do it, just because of the cost. You could try to move to a product role internally gain experience and pay and then interview with faang
I don’t think it’s worth it unless it’s something you really want to do. If you’re just doing it to break into product, then I don’t recommend it. I got a masters (not mba) in a totally unrelated field and while it helped clarify some things for me career wise, I don’t know how useful it was in the long run. I moved internally to product at my former company and have interviewed with faang recently. If you can make the shift internally, I would recommend that. Certifications and degrees don’t matter as much as hands on experience and skills.
