It's a full time position but I've read of some people getting let go 2 weeks post project completion. They advertise being paid while on the bench and that it's not the normal case. Return to employer on i140. I'm planning to return back to my old employer (on the same job role) who filed my i140 approved in 2016, with a PD if April 2014. The HR said they would need to refile PERM and i140. How is this possible? When someone gets promoted even they don't refile PERM, how is leaving and rejoining on same job role any different?

After an internal referral, I fell just short of an offer and was encouraged by the internal recruiter to let them know if there are other roles I’m interested in. Is it better to just apply for roles thru this recruiter or should I apply again with a referral and THEN give the recruiter a heads up that I did? Want to maximize the number of roles I’m considered for.

I got my Technology Lead role change last week. My current package after my promotion stands 8.7 of which around 1.2 is variable.

Recently I got an offer from TCS with 12.5 lpa. But the position they are offering is IT Analyst.

Since I got my role change to TL already, will joining TCS in IT Analyst be a step down in my career? Suggestions please.

After 3 years of ex. audit I found a "commercial" role which focuses on business partnering and forecasting (which I'm interested in), not to mention a nice salary bump.

A manager told me that it would be a bad career move, as I should be leaving for an accounting role out of audit before moving to something "commercial" to ensure I have experience doing month ends. He said that not having that would limit my career progression further down my career (CFO).

Feel like such a gigantic failure in life. Sat out of the market since the lows of 2009. Saved a lot but had no real growth of those savings. No debt ever. Watching nearly everyone increase their net worth on a daily basis via speculation in stocks - and everything seems to work all the time, regardless of which stock. Folks buying stocks, bitcoin, houses worth $1M+ left right and center. Each day is spent marveling at the money printer globally, thinking how this can go on endlessly.

Do you feel, as members of our community in advertising (a privilege we share in having a voice in media but also cultural persuasion) that you should lean into brands taking advantage of the opportunity to capitalize on our community or steer them away from that but also refocus their minds to a more long term diverse creative solution?

My extension was applied in Jan 2020 and got an extension till dec 2021. My original i94 expired on mar 2020. I was checking my i94 in-line which still shows the old date which is in at hi though I got new I 94 with h1 extension till dec 2021. What is the option for me to get this rectified?
