Mckinsey should be standardized salary. However, you might be able to negotiate 2 things:
1- your signing bonus
2- your recognized tenure in the role you are interviewing for
Set your focus on that part of the discussion.
I don't think they'll ask you expected salary. I came in as an experienced hire and they never asked me. What you'll discuss is the role you'll come into (BCG1's point #2), which is tied to a standard base salary with no room for negotiation. You can negotiate first year bonus and maybe relo. Current base for Associates (post-MBA) is 185
MBAs come in at 175 base. If you coming as manger, easy 200+

If you dont know what you can ask for, try to get them to give you a number, ”I expect to be compensated in line with peers with similar experience, what is the typical range for someone with my profile?” ”I was expecting xxx to xxx (some range higher), what room is there for you to match that?”
