Hey folks! I did my undergrad from a non target school in India and am headed to grad school at a target uni in Canada this fall. I have a query regarding how I should represent my undergrad GPA as it’s not in the 4.0 scale (for on-campus recruitment) will mentioning “First Class” be sufficient to indicate strong academic credentials?

Honestly not even worth putting on your resume the actual quantum of gpa earned - as Mck1 mentioned, it’s not comparable and shouldn’t be converted. That said, I personally think that putting “First Class” offers enough signaling of your UG achievements. I’m going to assume you’re attending an MBA in Canada, and that will most certainly have the appropriate grading scale attached to it which you should indicate on your resume if available during the time of recruitment. Also note that MBB recruiting in Canada is absolutely cut throat with the limited number of positions available in contrast to other parts of the world with greater demand / economy for consulting services.

Has been booming the last 5 months given the demand for consulting services

Put what it actually is + the scale and indicate what percentile of the class you were in. E.g., 3.8/4.3, top 10% of class

Noted, thanks a lot for the help!
