The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. Looking to move from LA to ATL and stay with my current company. They are supportive of the transition, but I’m concerned about a comp adjustment since ATL might not be considered HCOL. Does any one have experience transferring offices within their company and keeping the same comp? How did you approach those conversations?

What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.

My adderall is not working at all today. I can’t get motivated and stay on task even though I have so much work to get done!

I do feel bad when people can’t afford our subscription any more even though they love it. However, I wish they would stop getting mad at me over it. It’s not my fault!
