Highly unprofessional brush up your resume and look for a better work environment. Do your due diligence by researching the company, culture , glass door reviews and fisbowl. Look for corporate environment versus small business, family owned or startups. Informational interviews can help
find out about roles and company culture
Agree with the above and you’re taking the right steps. One additional thought - if you haven’t already, sharing your resume with temp agencies can be helpful. YMMV (depending on region, industry, agency, etc), but they can be a great way to get your foot in the door. In my personal career, twice I’ve gotten full time jobs as a result of temp placements.
So, with no HR, we don’t even fire people who refuse to do their job. I’m finding it highly triggering lately to my already existing anxiety issues. My MIL got me this job and I feel horrible for wanting to leave the place, but it’s just…bad. I don’t feel like I can even approach the business owner about his own language, anxious behaviour, name calling without something happening.
What would you do in this situation? I have begun to look for other jobs, but the job market where I live is pretty slim pickings🥲
